The name of the lake is derived from the name of Guru Padmasambhava Ji. According to the religious belief of this lake is that it has cure properties because it was sanctified by touching it by the Gurudonmar.

Green Lake trek

The best time for the Goechala trek is April to May and September to October.

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek

Dzongri trek starts from Yuksom is a short trek for the moderate trekker. This is situated in the northeast of India Trek is 50 km long and the height of the trek is 4200 m. The length of the trek is 7 days. The best time to trek here is March to May and September to December.

This trek will take you through the dense forests, snow-capped mountains, and beautiful scenery. You are going to have a lot of fun on this trek. In this short trek, you will get all the experience that is required for a tough trek.

Singba Rhododendron Sanctury Trek

For nature lovers, this is the best trek. It will be peaceful and colorful. This place is located at Yumthang valley. In addition to the trek, the Yumthang river flows along, making your trek even more charming and beautiful. This is a place like no other. Trek is full of colorful flowers, especially with Rhododendron.

The view of Kanchenjunga peak from here is spectacular. Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary Trek is 42 km long. March to May is a great time to visit here. In this time it will be more colorful. The length of the trek is 3 days.

Food of Sikkim

The local food of Sikkim is very famous. One who visiting Sikkim must-try local taste. In their food, it is a memorable taste. Famous food items or called Taste of Sikkim are Sishnu ko soup, Sel roti, Sha Phaley, Momos, and Hard Churpi.

• E-pass is required

• Fully vaccinated visitors are allowed to visit without any RTPCR report

• People with Half vaccination will be allowed to visit with negative mandatory RT-PCR report is Which should happen within 72 hours. So, the report should remain valid up until reaching Sikkim. Expiration dates are not valid.

• Without taking any vaccine dose you will not allow entering Sikkim.
